Book description From Goodreads : After the tragic death of Butch Browning's wife, Jenny, four families begin to realize how precious--and fleeting--their time together is. Each is at a different stage in life: Butch is facing single parenthood. The O'Reillys are expecting their first child. The Andersons are approaching an empty nest, and the Buckleys are so focused on providing their children with everything that they've forgotten what they truly need. With just eighteen summers before their children are grown, how do they make the most of that time when life so often gets in the way?As summer flies by, each of these parents must learn about guilt and grace . . . and when to hold on to their kids and when to let go.
My review:
Just 18 Summers by Rene Gutteridge & Michelle Cox
Four families face tough life lessons each in a unique, believable, and realist way. A parents worst nightmare comes true when Beth and Larry face an empty nest. Butch is left to face single parenthood after the death of his wife. Daphne and Tippy are preparing for their first child and Charles and Helen want their children to have everything they didn’t. Their stories intertwine and make a great story.
I found Just 18 Summers to be refreshing and at times laugh out loud funny. The characters are down to earth and real. I could see me and my own daughter in this story. This is the first book I have read by Rene Gutteridge or Michelle Cox, but I plan to find more books by them. I really enjoyed this book. I recommend it to all that like Christian fiction. This book is worthy of 5 stars. It’s a great book for parents in all stages of raising their children.
I want to give a high-five to the authors Rene Gutteridge and Michelle Cox and publisher Tyndale Fiction for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. The Book Club Network Inc. provided me with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for their, the authors and publishers generosity.

Just 18 Summers by Rene Gutteridge and Michelle Cox
An Aria for Nick by Hallee Bridgeman
Photo from Pinterest |
Abandoned to an abusive father at five, Nick Williams grew up dreaming of escape; of enlisting in the Army and leaving his wretched life behind; of proving himself worthy of the girl he loves. But the crucible of combat offers only the escape of death.
A decade later, Aria uncovers a nuclear plot that threatens the heart of our very nation. Sinister forces surround and threaten her when, out of nowhere, the man who reportedly died so many years before returns as if from the grave - intent on protecting her.
Has God finally joined them together? Or is Aria doomed to mourn Nick twice?
My Review: An Aria for Nick by Hallee Bridgeman
Aria has been in love with Nick forever. Her dreams of marriage, a home and professional music career die with Nick. As she goes on with life, she excels at new career but her life is now on the verge of disaster. But when she finds her life in danger Nick returns from the dead and comes to her rescue. Nick has always thought he was not good enough for Aria but her confidence and love for him is strong enough for both of them.
I have read all of Hallee Bridgeman’s novels and find this one to be the best yet. It was fast paced, full of action and suspense. I highly recommend this book and give it five stars. Aria for Nick is a great book for fans of Christian fiction, romance and suspense. I am waiting (impatiently) for the next book to come out. I find her works to be full of faith and believable with realist characters. This book had a strong message of forgiveness and long lasting love.
I want to give a high-five to the author Hallee Bridgeman and publisher for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. Scott Hahn draws from two millennia of scholarship to create an accessible and comprehensive tool for deeper and more rewarding biblical study.
My Review: Catholic Bible Dictionary by Scott Hahn
What a amazing addition to my Bible Study tools. I found this Dictionary to be a great study tool. It was easy to use and very informative. I would say it would be a benefit to anyone, no matter their religion’s belief’s. The dictionary is in alphabetical order defined according to the New Testament and Old Testament meaning, with reference to the Scripture passages. This book covers people of the Bible, places and a wide variety of other topics. It also explains the books of the Bible, giving the author, date written, content, and purpose. I can not wait to show others in our Bible study class this book. I give the Catholic Bible Dictionary 5 stars.

Nowhere to Turn by Lynette Eason
About the Book: Nowhere to Turn, Hidden Identity – Book 2
The day Danielle Harding takes her 11-year-old son, Simon, and flees from her abusive husband, is the same day Kurt Harding dies. A relieved Dani believes she and her son are finally safe–but in reality, the danger has just begun. When Kurt was alive, he took something important to a mysterious person. That person wants the item back and believes Dani now has it. As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to hide for long . . .
My Review: Nowhere to Turn Book 2 in Hidden Identity
by Lynette Eason
Danielle Harding thought after her abusive husband passed away she could finally live a normal life. After being trapped for twelve years , it’s time to show her hearing impaired son a ordinary life. She feels she is finally safe but within six months she realizes she is no safer than before. Her brother in law is stalking her. Someone is trying to kill her. With nowhere to go she turns to Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge to protect her and her son. And then the action starts, danger is everywhere they turn. What seems like an open and shut stalking case soon proves to be so much more. Who can she trust and where can she hide.
I give Nowhere to Turn 5 stars. It was fast paced, with a little romance, and lots of suspense. Lynette Eason is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. She did an outstanding job of brining the character to life in a believable fashion. Nowhere to Turn is part of a Hidden Identity series but can be read as a stand alone. Book 1 No One to Trust is also a 5 star fantastic read.
I want to give a high-five to the author Lynette Eason and publisher Revell for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. I was provided with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for the authors and publishers generosity.
No One to Trust, Hidden Identity – Book 1Summer Abernathy wakes up one morning to find her husband missing, three men in her home intent on finding him, and the life she’s been living based on a lie. Which Kyle Abernathy did she marry? The computer programmer she met in line at the bank? Or the one who was apparently using that image as a cover story?
The search for her husband–and answers–takes Summer ever deeper into a world of organized crime where people are used one moment and discarded the next. And with her deepest relationship of trust already shattered, Summer doesn’t know who to believe.
The author Lynette Eason has created believable characters, mystery around every corner and throws in unbreakable faith. I was able to read this book in a few hours because I could not put it down. If it were possible to give this book higher than five stars I would.
I want to give a high-five to the author Lynette Eason and publisher Revell for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. I was provided with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for the authors and publishers generosity.

For Catholics of all ages — from those who lived through Vatican II to those who've never seen a nun's habit except in a movie — Growing Up Catholic celebrates in a lighthearted way the funny and sublime side of day-to-day Catholic life
My Review: Growing up Catholic, The Commemorative Catholic Jubilee Edition by Mary Jane Frances Cavolina, Jeffrey Allen Joseph Stone, Maureen Ann Teresa Kelly and Richard Glen Michael Davis Photo and Book Description from Barnes & Noble
You have got to be a hard core Catholic to understand and appreciate this book. I found the contents to be humors, accurate and a little insulting to the whole catholic religion. You will defiantly get more than a few chuckles out of this book. The sad thing about all the descriptions is that they are right on and describe our religion to a tee. You will find yourself laughing over and over again. If you have a question about the Catholic faith you are sure to find a laugh out loud answer here. Growing Up Catholic will have you looking for sin around every corner. I give Growing Up Catholic 4 stars.

My Book Review:A Bouquet of Love, Book 4 of Weddings by Design Series by Janice Thompson
Cassia Pappas finds herself on Galveston Island after her family relocates there to start a new business. Her father expects her to work in the family GyroRestaurant but she dreams of working with flowers. As the family settles in and gets the restaurant off the ground Cassia finds the perfect job working for a local flower shop on the Strand. The only problem is her overbearing father forbids any interaction with the Italian family, the Rossi’s and the flower shop is owned by the family. As Cassia try’s to hide her interaction with the forbidden Rossi’s she finds romance and true friends.
I found A Bouquet of Love to be light, fun and entertainingly humorous. The author Janice Thompson did a fantastic job of bringing this story to life with realistic characters and humor. It is part of a series but is a great stand alone book. I have not read the whole series and had no trouble following along. I have read book 3 the Dream Dress and loved it also. I give A Bouquet of Love 5 Stars.

To make matters worse, as Cassia is trying to develop a strong professional relationship with Galveston's premier wedding coordinator, Bella Neeley, her own father is intent on stealing all of the Rossi family's faithful customers. Not exactly the best way to get into this former Rossi's good graces!
Still, at least Alex, that hot delivery guy from the nursery, is always hanging around the flower shop . . .
