Fire Storm By Nancy Mehl

Fire Storm
Book Two Kaely Quinn Profiler
By Nancy Mehl

Back Cover: When FBI profiler Kaely Quinn's mother is diagnosed with cancer, Kaely takes time off work to go to Dark Water, Nebraska, to help her brother care for their mother. Upon her arrival, she learns of a series of fires in the small town, attributed by the fire chief to misuse of space heaters in the frigid winter. But Kaely is skeptical, and a search for a pattern in the locations of the fires bolsters her suspicions.

After yet another blaze devastates a local family, Kaely is certain a serial arsonist is on the loose. Calling upon her partner from St. Louis, Noah Hunter, and her brother's firefighter neighbor who backs Kaely's suspicions, Kaely and her team begin an investigation that swiftly leads them down a twisted path. When the truth is finally revealed, Kaely finds herself confronting a madman who is determined his last heinous act will be her death.

My Review: Fire Storm, Book 2 Kaely Quinn Profiler by Nancy Mehl

What a terrific book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Fire Storm. It definitively was a 5- star book. Fire Storm can be read as a stand-alone but Mind Games, Book One was too good a book to pass up. The characters are well developed and well written. It is an action packed, fast paced, full of suspense with a hint of romance. The author Nancy Mehl out did herself. I can’t wait to read the next book, to bad I have to wait. It’s a time for healing and forgiving for Kaely Quinn. Her character is multi-faceted, unique and spiritual. God is pruning her life and her faith will have to sustain her through her mother’s illness, family drama, attraction to Noah and fighting an evil arsonist. Nancy Mehl hit on a hard subject of mental illness or was it just a demonic spirit. You will have to read Fire Storm to judge for yourself.

About Nancy Mehl: Nancy Mehl writes faith filled stories of suspense and mystery. She lives in Missouri with her husband and pug Watson. She is the author of the Road to Kingdom, Finding Sanctuary, Defenders of Justice and Kaely Quinn Profiler series. She received the ACFW Mystery Book of the Year Award in 2009. I personally have not read a book of her's that I didn't fall in love with.

Hawk, Book 2 The Quite Professionals by Ronnie Kendig
ISBN 9781624163180
Christian Fiction, Military, Suspense
Staff Sergeant Brian “Hawk” Bledsoe comes to Fekiria Haidary’s aide and ends up in jail for his trouble with his military career on the line. Fekiria is an Afghan pilot, hiding the truth about her life from everyone. She has defied her father and brother by joining the AAF and studying to be a pilot. She has disdain for Americans but is slowly coming around. They are thrown together after she accidentally bombs his team. They are on the run from the Taliban and Chinese. Their lives and the lives of the children in her friends care are on the line. His team is in jeopardy as they are targets and their communications are compromised.
This story is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat,  it is action packed and intense. The author did a great job of developing characters they are multi-dimensional and passionate. Faith is a strong aspect of this story. With characters sold out for Jesus, some questioning their beliefs and searching for answers. I enjoyed the faith aspect of Hawk. But you better duck because the bullets are flying.
Hawk is book two in The Quite Professionals Series. I enjoyed it and had no problem following even though I have not read book one, Raptor 6. I give this book 4 stars and think all suspense and military lovers will really enjoy Hawk. I was very upset with the ending, I feel I was left hanging. So I guess I will be reading Book 3, Falcon to see what happened.
I want to thank the author Ronie Kendig and publisher Shiloh for bringing good clean, compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith.  I would also like to thank The Book Club Network Inc. for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.

My review: A Carol for Kent, Part 3 of the Song of Suspense series by Hallee Bridgeman

ISBN 9781939603272

Suspense, Romance, Christian Fiction

Now this was a great book. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I really enjoyed the characters especially main character Carol Mabry. She had faith and a strong upstanding personality. She had a child out of wedlock and was told the father wanted nothing to do with her child. She put everything she had into giving her daughter a well rounded life and worked hard to provide for her. Bobby Kent the male main character was someone you could look up to. He had it all, rich’s and fame but didn’t let it deflect from his high moral standings. His faith was strong and he was a living testimony to Christ working in his life. He fathered a child and knew nothing about her for eight years but stepped up to the plate as soon as he found her. Together Carol and Bobby struggle to deal with the deception they have faced and test the waters to see if they have a future together.

The author Hallee Bridgeman did an outstanding job bringing the characters to life and filling them with a strong faith and high morals. I loved toward the end of the book where she made references to the Book of Mark when Christ cast out a legion of demons into the herd of pigs. I had to an take another look at this and wondered if demons are the real cause to the worlds evils. She really make me look at things in a slightly different way. I highly recommend A Carol for Kent, it is defiantly 5 star worthy. If you have not read A Melody for James or An Aria for Nick, I suggest you check them out they are fantastic books also.

I want to thank the author Hallee Bridgeman and publisher Olivia Kimbrell Press for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. I would also like to thank The Book Club Network Inc. for providing me with this book in exchange for my honest review.

An Aria for Nick by Hallee Bridgeman

An Aria for Nick: Part 2 of the Song of Suspense Series Hallee Bridgeman's best novel yet.
Photo from Pinterest
About the book: Raised in a loving home, Aria Suarez dreamed of becoming a professional pianist happily married to her high school crush. After the only boy who ever caught her eye dies a hero's death and her wrist is shattered along with her future plans, she turns her brilliant musical mind to nuclear engineering and solving mysteries of science.
Abandoned to an abusive father at five, Nick Williams grew up dreaming of escape; of enlisting in the Army and leaving his wretched life behind; of proving himself worthy of the girl he loves. But the crucible of combat offers only the escape of death.
A decade later, Aria uncovers a nuclear plot that threatens the heart of our very nation. Sinister forces surround and threaten her when, out of nowhere, the man who reportedly died so many years before returns as if from the grave - intent on protecting her.
Has God finally joined them together? Or is Aria doomed to mourn Nick twice?

My Review: An Aria for Nick by Hallee Bridgeman

Aria has been in love with Nick forever. Her dreams of marriage, a home and professional music career die with Nick. As she goes on with life, she excels at new career but her life is now on the verge of disaster. But when she finds her life in danger Nick returns from the dead and comes to her rescue. Nick has always thought he was not good enough for Aria but her confidence and love for him is strong enough for both of them.

I have read all of Hallee Bridgeman’s novels and find this one to be the best yet. It was fast paced, full of action and suspense. I highly recommend this book and give it five stars. Aria for Nick is a great book for fans of Christian fiction, romance and suspense. I am waiting (impatiently) for the next book to come out. I find her works to be full of faith and believable with realist characters. This book had a strong message of forgiveness and long lasting love.

As she and her son run for their lives, they have nowhere to turn, until she hires Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge and goes into hiding. Unfortunately, she won’t be able to hide for long . . .

My Review: Nowhere to Turn Book 2 in Hidden Identity
by Lynette Eason

Danielle Harding thought after her abusive husband passed away she could finally live a normal life. After being trapped for twelve years , it’s time to show her hearing impaired son a ordinary life. She feels she is finally safe but within six months she realizes she is no safer than before. Her brother in law is stalking her. Someone is trying to kill her. With nowhere to go she turns to Adam Buchanan of Operation Refuge to protect her and her son. And then the action starts, danger is everywhere they turn. What seems like an open and shut stalking case soon proves to be so much more. Who can she trust and where can she hide.

I give Nowhere to Turn 5 stars. It was fast paced, with a little romance, and lots of suspense. Lynette Eason is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. She did an outstanding job of brining the character to life in a believable fashion. Nowhere to Turn is part of a Hidden Identity series but can be read as a stand alone. Book 1 No One to Trust is also a 5 star fantastic read.

I want to give a high-five to the author Lynette Eason and publisher Revell for bringing compelling Christian books that are entertaining and give hope to the reader with stories of faith. I was provided with this book in exchange for my honest review and I am so grateful for the authors and publishers generosity.

No One to Trust, Hidden Identity – Book 1
Summer Abernathy wakes up one morning to find her husband missing, three men in her home intent on finding him, and the life she’s been living based on a lie. Which Kyle Abernathy did she marry? The computer programmer she met in line at the bank? Or the one who was apparently using that image as a cover story?
The search for her husband–and answers–takes Summer ever deeper into a world of organized crime where people are used one moment and discarded the next. And with her deepest relationship of trust already shattered, Summer doesn’t know who to believe.

My Review: No One to Trust is a fantastic fast paced read that is sure to keep you at the edge of your seat. If you love Christian, Romance, or Suspense Fiction this is the book for you. It is a full of action, suspense, faith, and betrayal. No one is who they seem to be. Summer Abernathy wakes up to a nightmare. Her husband is missing, not who he says he is and a madman is trying to kill her. Kyle or David wakes up in the hospital knowing he has to get to his wife because his past has caught up to him. Together they fight to stay alive. David is part of the Witness Protection Program and his cover has been blown. He has deceived the woman he loves and is ready to fight for his life and wife. Read No One to Trust to see if their marriage can survive the lies and betrayal.

The author Lynette Eason has created believable characters, mystery around every corner and throws in unbreakable faith. I was able to read this book in a few hours because I could not put it down. If it were possible to give this book higher than five stars I would.
